Burning Down the House

The song "Burning Down the House" by the Talking Heads was never so appropriate as it was last night. I had been doing some laundry and everytime I went into the laundry room, it smelled like smoke. Doug could not smell it because he's been sick with a stuffy nose and cough. My parents were both here....Mom could not smell it ....but Dad could.

I kept being persistant about it, because the smell of smoke was not going away....so Doug took off the front of the dryer....this is what we saw...apparantly some lint had caught fire...there was a large area of black stuff.
