I talked with my mom last night to get an update on her recent cardiac testing. She only had the results of her Calcium test. The calcium score for her age showed mild atherosclerosis (plaque) in the arteries.She had a chemical stress test yesterday. She did not have the results of that until she called me this morning and said there was "some blockage". She is scheduled for an angiogram on Thursday, June 24th in Fort Dodge. At that time they will doing either a angioplasty (balloon to widen the narrow or obstructed vessel) or PCI "Percutaneou Coronary Intervention" (stent is placed in the artery to keep it open).
I'll update next week when I know more. Prayers of healing are requested for my mom.
