Truck Troubles

I should have known, that once my truck was paid for, it would begin causing me problems. On Monday afternoon, I was going to leave to do some errands and my truck would not start. When Doug got home on Monday night, he put the battery charger on it and was able to get it started. He drove it to the gas station to get some gas and then to AutoZone to have the battery tested.

AutoZone diagnosis "Bad Battery"

Doug came by the house and asked me to follow him to the Ford dealership in Lewisville. We dropped off the truck, left the keys in the overnight drop box and hoped they could fix it on Tuesday.

The service department called Doug later in the day to say. "The battery was replaced", "No charge, as it was under warranty." The battery was replaced in December of 2008 and had a 36 month free replacement warranty. It had only been 25,000 miles since then. I would think a battery would last longer than that....wouldn't you?

But I'm very happy it was fixed quickly and was fixed free of charge!
