Today, Jill and I went to the store to get some things to do some holiday baking. Jill has been craving Reese's Peanut Butter candy so I was telling her about Denise's peanut butter balls and said it would accomplish two things: 1) keep her busy for a while 2) satisfy her craving.
I wrote to Denise and she promptly sent the recipe for her peanut butter balls. I had no idea there was crushed rice krispies in them. So before dinner we crushed the rice krispies; mixed it with the powdered sugar; added the peanut butter/margarine mixture; and form the balls. Put them in the freezer to chill.
After dinner we mixed up our semi-sweet & milk chocolate chips in a double boiler and started dipping them in to the chocolate.
I think I saw Josh sneaking some of the peanut butter balls out of the freezer. Our final count of finished balls was 83.
We'll see how the rest of the group feels about them on Saturday, when we all get together to celebrate Christmas.
