Vacation - Day 8 - MISC

Thursday, March 17th.

Doug & I would drive Diane & Jackie to the Maui airport (OGG) for their flight home. They made great travel buddies!
Diane & Jackie are shown here on their snorkeling trip they took earlier in the week.
On the way to the airport we stopped by the scrapbook store Island Paperie. This is a scrapbook store totally dedicated to the islands of Hawaii. They stock unique paper, die-cuts & embellishments that you cannot find on the mainland.

Leaving Kahului, we decided to stop by the Maui Ocean Center and check for some new souvenirs. We ran in to Karl & Audrey in the gift shop and since it was time for lunch, we decided to visit a restaurant in Kihei. This restaurant had a great review in the book "Top Maui Restaurants 2010". See Amazon.com for more info on this book.

Coconut's Fish Cafe, located in Kihei; is home to Maui's best Fish Tacos, Fish & Chips, and Fish Burgers (fish filet sandwiches).

Coconuts Fish Cafe is named after the owner's cat "Coconut" also shown in their logo.

Coconut's Fish Cafe is a fun, casual fish place to stop and grab something for lunch. It has a simple menu where you order/pay at the counter.

The restaurant is located on the southeast side of the Azeka Shopping center in the heart of Kihei. The ambiance is relaxed with tables shaped like wooden surfboards and table legs, shaped like paddles.
