My mom was admitted to the hospital in Fort Dodge on Thursday with a bowel obstruction.
Conservative treatment includes having a NG(nasogastric) tube down her nose and IV fluids for the treatment of dehydration and electrolyte imbalance.
Mom had the NG tube removed this afternoon and she is now on a liquid diet. I'm not sure when she will be discharged from the hospital.
