Texas - Another Winter Storm Warning

Temps were in the upper 50s yesterday and now we are bracing for temps in the teens with a wind chill advisory

At 9 a.m., snow continues to fall across North Texas. Additionally, blowing snow will impair visibility so drivers are advised to use extreme caution on the roads. With high winds and a temperature of 17, the wind chill has dropped to the single digits.

The state's electric grid operator is predicting Texas will set a new winter use record Thursday morning. Homeowners and businesses are asked to conserve as much electricity as possible to avoid the necessity of more rolling blackouts.

Last week, 82 of the state's 550 power plants unexpectedly failed in the frigid temperatures.
