Vacation Countdown

257 Days til vacation
Just booked Doug and I on a Spring Break cruise via Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines - Voyager of the Seas
We will be gone Sunday, March 8 thru Sunday, March 15th.
We will visit depart from Galveston, TX...traveling to Cozumel, Mexico; Costa Maya, Mexico; Yucatan/Progresso, Mexico and Roatan, Honduras. In addition to the named ports, there are two days at sea. Awww..utter relaxation!

We got a cabin upgrade this time and we will enjoy a balcony cabin on Deck 9.

Anyone else game for a spring break vacation?

Strawberry - Pest Box

This weekend, Doug crafted a "pest box" to cover my strawberry plants. It seems "something" in our neighborhood likes strawberries, just as much as I do. Everytime I think I am going to pick my strawberries, they are either half eaten or entirely gone.

This pest box should keep out those varmints and let me enjoy my fresh fruits!

Bradley - The Guitar Hero

My nephew, Bradley is visiting for a month from Faribault MN.

He is shown here on his first day, learning to play "Guitar Hero" on the PS2.

His favorite song is "I Like Rock & Roll"

He is currently on the beginner level, but I imagine he will be more advanced by the end of his stay!

Surprise 50th Anniversary

The whole Janssen family spent a few days together in Pomeroy Iowa. We all gathered together to surprise Mom and Dad on their 50th Wedding Anniversary. It will not be official until February 2009. We knew they would not be expecting a thing, being 8 months early. They were a little suspicious, but never quite figured the whole thing out.

Please check their blog for more details of this event: http://www.dotwill50.blogspot.com/

There are many posts so be sure to click the older posts for all the details of the anniversary!
