Hot and getting hotter!

The heat streak in North Texas is expected to continue today with a high temperature of 104 degrees.

The rest of the week will remain sweltering, with highs above 100 and lows in the low 80s.

Sunday, July 27th was the hottest day so far this year, with temperatures averaging 105.

There have already been 17 days this year that have hit or surpassed the 100-degree mark. Normal highs for this time of year are about 96 degrees.

It's just summertime in Texas!

Master Suite Redesign

Step 1 - Painting
Behr Paint: Color = Cozy Cottage

Step 2 - Shopping for Bedroom Accessories
EBAY - Bedspread, Bedskirt, Shams, Draperies and Valance
JC Penney - Lamps, Sheers, Drapery Rods
Garden Ridge - Artwork and "Sticks"
Pier One Imports - Chair and cushion
Kirklands - Fern
Linen-N-Things - Palm Tree Pillows
Step 3 - Putting it all together

We've finally got curtains on our windows...after living here 10 yrs.

I got the chair at Pier One Imports.

It was a clearance item and I got them to even discount it more,
because the rattan was "beat up" in spots.
Doug was able to touch it up with some wood stain
and you can't even tell where those spots are now.

Peaches Galore

Well today I went harvesting my peach tree.

I collected 25 peaches...there are only about 10 more left on the tree, that the birds or bugs haven't gotten too.

They should be ripe within the next few days.

Can you say "PEACHES AND ICE CREAM"

Jackie can't seem to wait!

Hot Water

Thursday, July 3rd & Friday, July 4th
Karl and Doug installed our new hot water heater

The water heater was 10 years old, and we did not want to wait for it to break.
