Jackie called me yesterday and told me she was notified that she is the receipient of one of the six 2010 Student Scholarships of $1,000.
Jackie will be awarded the scholarship at the TCDA convention in San Antonio later this month.
(July 28 - July 31) Jackie has previously been selected as one of 18 college students in Texas to study under one of the guest conductors and then perform a piece for the convention floor.
In addition, she was awarded $200 towards her travel expenses to this upcoming event.
