Weekend Plans - April 16 &17th

Saturday morning, we enjoyed a leisurely breakfast and planned out our day. First we would write a formal letter to AutoZone regarding a warranty claim for a defective Durolast water pump that Doug installed on Jackie's Camry in June of 2007. The water pump recently seized up, breaking the timing belt and damaging the idler pulley. AutoZone refunded our money for the defective water pump, but also asked us to come up with a total of damages caused. Total cost of out of pocket expenses were $892.18 (Towing, rental car & Toyota repairs). I'm not sure how much of that we can expect to see refunded to us. I know Jackie would want us to also include monetary reimbursement for her emotional duress and to comp Karl for his time away from work while he waited with her on Hwy45. I'll let you know, how we come out. After dropping off the letter with the AutoZone Store Manager, we dropped off a few things at The Colony Clean-Up -Hawaiian Falls parking lot. Then it was off to the NTB Auto Butler. The Expedition was in bad need of a car wash. The local birds have been doing a field day with their droppings. Now that the truck is able to be parked in the garage, "it should" stay cleaner. Then we were off to Frisco. It seems the World Market store, is the only place around we can buy Illy - Whole Bean Coffee. Don't want to run out of the household coffee supply!

Saturday afternoon was spent washing & waxing Doug's car. It is nice to pull the car in the garage (out of the sun) to apply and detail the car. After all it was date night!

Saturday evening, we went to Las Colinas for Thai food - Blu Ginger Thai Cafe
The food was wonderful. The prices were reasonable. It was a great way to finish the day!!

Sunday started off a little chilly at 54 degrees. We went to church service and followed with a quick bite to eat (sandwiches) and then it was time for some yard work. I mowed the yard and Doug did come pool & plant maintance. The day warmed up to about 82 degrees and we finished up the day out by the pool with a cold beer & hamburgers on the grill. It's a good life!!!
