Tropical Storm Don has formed in the southern Gulf of Mexico and is tracking toward Texas, the National Hurricane Center said Wednesday.
The storm—located just off the tip of the Yucatan Peninsula, about 755 miles east-southeast of Corpus Christi—was moving toward the west-northwest at 12 mph.
Forecasters said it’s expected to make landfall north of Corpus Christi late Friday or Saturday.
The National Hurricane Center said it does not appear that Don will strengthen into a hurricane.
For those of you in the Houston area - you can expect to see more scattered thunderstorms, starting on Thursday through Saturday morning.
